Jim is a native of Los Angeles and grew up in the south bay region of Los Angeles County. He received his Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts and Philosophy from California State University Dominguez Hills. Jim has spent 25 years in corporate media and events, eleven years at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and worked intermittantly as a freelance producer/director. The introduction of digital technology, coupled with the corporate downsizing of the early nineties, led Jim to decid to turn his life-long work with and interest in non-profit associations into his profession. Jim has been a Boy Scout and Sea Explorer Leader, a YMCA Indian Guide, YMCA Hi-Y leader and three year member of the Model Legislature Program (where he was first introduced to Parliamentary Procedure). Jim served as Amateur Mendicant (treasurer) of the Non-Canonical Calabashes, (The Sherlock Holmes Society of Los Angeles), was two term President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the International Television Association, and President of the California State Association of Parliamentarians for 1999 - 2000. (See list below) Jim received his Professional Registered Parliamentrian designation in 1988 and has served a diverse clientele since then (see client list). Jim lives in the San Fernando Valley with his wife, Lorraine and an assortment of pets. His hobbies include cooking, woodworking, wine making and educational pursuits. He is is very active in his community, serving on the boards of directors of several local organizations.
